"Liberty, not communism, is the most contagious force in the world." ~Earl Warren http://shanklinmike.angelfire.com/blog/ Please help Bob Barr in supporting Ron Paul's ideals of constitution, liberty, peace, and prosperity! It's time for GDP to skyrocket and time for taxes and war to decline! Remember, these is no such thing as a wasted vote, your not going to change the election with your one vote, at least put your vote towards restroring our prosperous Republic! http://lpf.org/wastedvote.htm Please help Ron and many other libertarian Republicans this year by voting for Bob Barr! It's time for us to control overprinting money that leads to inflation(your dollar losing value). It's time to cut taxes(seriously). It's time to protect our right of religion, free speech, and right to assembly! It's time for real economic growth that can only come from freer markets and less government corruption and inefficiency! It's time for us to set an example for the rest of the world! Barr/Root 08 Besides, Ron Paul write-in votes are thrown away! www.lp.org

Jul 10, 2008 - If you don't believe me, then look at the facts. Look at the health care systems in the world. The US is the most privatized and least regulated - most expensive. Look at energy price. In Sweden and Norway they are owned by the state - we have some of the cheapest electricity in the world. Regulation needs to be in place to protect the customers from exploitation but also to ensure that what competition there is is healthy for the market. The US government waste, but not all governments.

shanklinmike Says:

Jul 10, 2008 - I see this argument as flawed because oil itself is oligopolized already..........One of the reasons the gas companies were able to thrash competition.

Visfen Says:

Jul 10, 2008 - Without regulation you'll get a hundred Rockefeller's...

playwfire Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - sounds like a die hard republican.. you only get what you earn on your own. Too funny. Take advantage of someone, use all you want, stop thinking - he said it.

shanklinmike Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - Better than imprisoning people into your federal pyramid scheme that politicians ALWAYS take advantage of. Better to support a real cause in liberty than to support centralized systems and oligopolization! Better to support the fact that everyone is equal under the law as well as war is unneeded! Better to support forcing the rich people to earn our dollar instead of turning more and more politicians into pork barrel special interests. Your system makes everyone a slave to everyone. Liberty!

Jul 31, 2008 - lol it cracks me up to see republicans whining that obama is a communist, bla bla bla. They are just jealous that McCain cannot draw crowds that fit inside stadiums. It is clear who will win in November.

Yaguermeister Says:

Aug 7, 2008 - Whats wrong with Socialism?

shanklinmike Says:

Aug 7, 2008 - The promises of Socialism are great. What is wrong with socialism is actually two-fold. First socialism is against human free will and voluntary trade. Second, socialism usually has what's called negative externalities on the economy and in the end leads to nationalization of production. Civilization advances greater when the people are free to make transactions forcing the rich to fight for the consumer dollar. Politicians can not solve our economic woes, they are the ones who started it.

kev1776 Says:

Aug 8, 2008 - Friedrich August Hayek, "It is rarely remembered now that socialism in its beginnings was frankly authoritarian. It began quite openly as a reaction against the liberalism of the French Revolution. The French writers who laid its foundation had no doubt that their ideas could be put into practice only by a strong dictatorial government. The first of modern planners, Saint-Simon, predicted that those who did not obey his proposed planning boards would be "treated as cattle.""

kev1776 Says:

Aug 8, 2008 - Friedrich August Hayek, "There is, in a competitive society, nobody who can exercise even a fraction of the power which a socialist planning board would possess"

Aug 17, 2008 - Those who are cheering for Obama are simply mislead sheeple, they have given in to the mass media's rockstar treatment of Obama. They have been so mislead as to believe that Obama's socialist policies would actually benefit the US. Universal healthcare, elimination of military power, overwhelming illegal immigration, the continuing degradation of the American family via gay marriage and elimination of Christianity. Yet you and others just give into these crossdressers reading a teleprompter. sad

Aug 22, 2008 - Obama is very very bad for the usa

shanklinmike Says:

Aug 22, 2008 - Exactly, those systems are oversubsidized and are unsustainable in the long-run. For now they will get through customers but now that the government has most of the customers they are a part of the oligopoly. It is sad to see the horizon of this world as barrier free healthcare continues to be monopolized by the Federal system. The state's should be allowed to op out but coercive force will be applied. It really is sad to see our prosperity voted out. watch?v=18EWsXmdZtU watch?v=Pl-L1CJ6450

Yeeeccchhhhh. Yep, just what America needs: an elitist, chip-on-her shoulder, I'm-a-millionarie-but-still-a victim, havent-been-proud-of-my-country-until-this-year brain dead fool for First Lady.

DrGuntram Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - Radical "liberals" are in an all out attack upon the liberty of everyone that doesn't agree with them in one of the most covert facist takeovers the free world has ever seen. Already it is a "hate crime" to even speak an opinion in some western civilized countries or let's say read a passage from the Bible that doesn't align with their views. Liberal Facist persecution madness is coming imo.

shanklinmike Says:

Sep 7, 2008 - You really think Bob Barr wants guts and blood? He is actually going to end our interventionist foreign policy! Obama does not have brains! He is as dumb as McCain with no real core beliefs! He is for the "majority", not for rule of law and our civil liberty mind constitutional democratic-republic! The republicrats are destroying this country through their centralized systems of monopolistic governments! Barr is polling at 8% and GROWING!!!! watch?v=V-4kCD4nbrw watch?v=0njkS9bfR1k
