Video: One Piece episode 23 Title: "Protect the Baratie! The Great Red-Foot Zeff!!" A brief reference to One Piece Did you ever dream of being a pirate when you where young? Do fairytales with corsairs and bounty hunters fascinate you? Either you're an anime fan or not you HAVE TO watch One Piece During the opening credits we are witnesses of the execution of Gold Roger, King of Pirates, who after his death, gives the chance to fortune hunters to search for his most precious treasure, One Piece. While entering the Great Age of Pirates, we witness the appearance of a young boy who possesses the power of a Devil's Fruit. Monkey D Luffy while wearing his straw hat which belongs to the redhead pirate Shanks, who is also his idol, with the company of his rubber punch and his everlasting smile will try to search for One Piece and declare himself King of Pirates. In his way he will search for companions (nakama), so he can create his own pirate crew. Companions totally different the bloodthirsty and cold-hearted pirates who only desire blood, wealth and fame. It's a crew full of sensitivity humour and romanticism. Young in age, Ronoroa Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji are following Luffy during his adventures. Of course each of them is trying to achieve their personal goals. In their journeys they will come across many friends and foes, some bloodthirsty and some merciful people. As the story goes, the history of each and every one of the characters is being analytically revealed, with a really smart combination of humour and drama. The history unfolds with mastery through incredible animation and amazing music background, from the experts the Japanese. The series is ongoing and already consists of 373, 20 minute, episodes. But even though it's being aired in Japan since 1999, it still is one of the favourite anime of the Japs., with uncountable fans from all over the world. The episodes are available in Japanese with English subtitles. There has been an effort to translate this anime in Greek, by Alter channel, which aired some episodes by the title "Drake, and the treasure hunt" ("Ο Ντρέηκ και το κυνήγι του θησαυρού"). Unfortunately, the translation was not even close to being good, because Alter channel tried to make it more accessible to younger spectators and suddenly stopped near episode 100. Don't be fooled. It's not an ordinary "kid's anime". It contains dirty language, continuous violence and blood along with amazing battles and a plot that will never let you get bored. After you see the first episode, you will definitely want to see the next and the next and the next.... I hope you enjoy it!!!!
