PLEASE TURN ON SOUND!!! :D A little video we have put together to show that our human next door neighbours are not the only neighbours we have. We have neighbours living alot closer than the next house. Life is an amazing thing if you look closely at it, as we found just looking below the canopy of a small tree, we discovered a nest with a fuscouse honeyeater sitting on her eggs. The eggs took about two weeks to hatch. And the young ones took 13 days from hatch day to flying away free to live an amazing life. But unfortunately, not a trouble free life, although they do have thier natural predators, they are also breathing in our toxic fumes, loosing thier homes from land clearing for Shopping centres, housing estates and back and front yard entertainment areas. And unlike us....these creatures have no voice...they cannot speak out loud and tell us to stop. They just keep living thier life the best they can while they still have space to live. They need someone to stand up for them and that is what we are trying to do with this video. To show people that these creatures are still living around us. They have a right to live here too and are here for a reason. Please also check out my video of the green thing from down under. It was a fluke to film and filmed to show people that even the smallest of insects see us and are aware of us and that they also have feelings. Hope you enjoy watching:D all the best Wifflewaff

Oct 30, 2008 - Thanks, We have still seen the birds flying around our house. Not sure if the young ones are with them or whether they have moved on to another area. They have a beautiful call. I'm sure they will be back for more nesting in the same tree next year. This year was the second year they have nested in the tree, but unfortunately last year they lost the two young ones and the nest in a bad storm. Wonderful to see the two little ones make it out of the nest.
