Canadian Easter? What's that? Well, it's simple. It's when two engines from the Canadian National Railway, both operate on Easter Sunday! And this happened not in Canada, but in the heart of Lancasetr County. That's right, we're at the Strasburg Railroad. In this video, you will get to witness one the rarest types of operations along the Road to Paradise. As you watch the video, follow this description as to what is happening, so you don't run out of steam! In the first bit, we will see both #89 and #7312 getting ready for thier duties for the day. #89 will pull the first train out of Strasburg, while #7312 heads to Leaman Place, to wait for the train. Once in Leaman Place, #7312 will pull forward, and couple to the front of the train, with #89 still on the rear. Then, working in tangem, boht locomotives will push/pull the train till just after Esbenshade crossing. Once the gates are up, the pusher engine is uncoupled from the train, and whatever engine is leading the train, will take it back to Strasburg, and be the pusher on the next trip. We will first follow #7312 as it leads the train first. We'll then see #7312 bring the train east through Fairview. We will then jump to Carpenter's crossing, to watch #89 take its turn in leading the train, and #7312 giving the nessicary push. We'll then close the video with #89, as she pulls the Easter Bunny Express into East Strasburg.

Sep 20, 2008 - Why didn't they just hook 7312 and 89 up to each other? then they would have two in the back or 2 in the front. That's odd.
