Jul 5, 2008 - Why is this president not repremanded by Congress? Maybe they get their pay check from some other source? One can only imagine in this direction when they do not do their job. Perhaps the international law wlll do the job that Congress seems incapable of doing.

Jul 5, 2008 - Why do people who realize that our government is corrupt so often believe that an even larger more powerful international government will be any better? Most importantly, while it might be nice if we happened to get it right & end up with a benevolent organization like the StarTrek federation, what happens if we mess up & get stuck with a StarWars style empire? I'd prefer to fix our own government rather than sit around begging big brother UN to swoop in & save me.

Jul 7, 2008 - Well i think whilst his idea of everybody taking care of themselves (as opposed to relying on the government) is robust in theory, in reality you need a society which can take care of each other. Some people are simply unable to help themselves in the way that many economists hope for in an ideal world. If society is not held together through interdependance, then youll find many falling through the cracks. You only need to look at the state of the health care system to see the risks.

Jul 7, 2008 - and i find it so ironic that at a time when the admin is ratcheting up the rhetoric regarding irans nuclear capabilities that mccain is offering nuclear power plants as an alternate energy source in the future. what are other countries meant to do once the oil dries, sit in the dark because republicans are afraid of what they might do with their energy source? I think if they hit iran (israel included), as you said hell will break loose in iraq and the chance of another 9-11 increases.
