Youtuber, "greenmagoos" thinks he sees 2 light sources in Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell's visor. This video busts that nonsense wide open. His videos, "Moon Hoax- Apollo 14's Moonset Light Rig - aka- Two Suns In Visor!" and "Moon Hoax- The Lies In Your Visors Part Two (Trailer)" suffer from visor fixation. I demonstrate that double reflections are to be expected in the multi-layered Lunar Excursion Visor Assembly. I also demonstrate that greenmagoos two-light-source explanation should generate two shadows that we don't see in any Apollo photos. In short, greenmagoos' bizarre visor fetish is misguided, pseudo-scientific claptrap that only reminds us of the evidential and scientific void plaguing the anti-Apollo cult.

Oct 19, 2008 - green, granted, I don't see this on any other examples so far (although I've seen it on a Russian and ESA helmet image). I've already retracted the Ed White possibility because it seemed to vague, so where are we? NEITHER HAVE YOU SHOWN THE ALLEGED LIGHTING RIG IN ANY OTHER APOLLO IMAGES! In fact, you've never actually shown us this lighting rig. You've shown us 1.4 seconds of 2 reflections and offered your interpretation. I'm happy to let the masses pick which interpretation they like.
LunarTuner Says:
Oct 19, 2008 - I'm not unhappy that you haven't found the double reflections again. Now I am expecting you to explain why the 2nd light was not used sometimes. I know this will entertain me. And I know you will explain how 2 lights will give 1 shadow because I know you find that as impossible as the rest of the world does. So, I'll just be patient.

Oct 19, 2008 - Magoos: You're aware that I've purchased the Moon, aren't you ? No? Well, consider yourself informed. I bought it on E-Bay from some guy who lives in Spain. So, you can talk about landing or not landing to you're hearts content... but if you decide to go there in the future, I'll be there to collect the parking fee. NO FREE RIDES ! If they did indeed land, I'll be opening up a Starbucks next to the Apollo 11 landing site... Lots of tourists.... big bucks. Ravenflight

Oct 19, 2008 - Magoos : Alexi Leonov... first space walk... and yes...it's on YouTube in glorious Soviet era black and white. Two reflections.

Oct 25, 2008 - Why there are double reflections in some circumstances and not in others is a different issue than the notion that double reflections are undeniable 'proof' that two studio lights were used. Lunar Tuner has shown PROOF that double reflections do not require two sources, that two sources must be accompanied by two shadows that are not evident in any Apollo photos. Mr Magoo can be seen spiraling toward the horizon in flames. Lunar Tuner has earned a Victory Roll! Good shooting!
n2theblue Says:
Oct 27, 2008 - That's all great and such, but I don't really have a problem with the artificial light source casting two images but the videos we are talking about used the sun as a light source and we all know that the sun acts different than artificial light. How bout some true field work. Show me this done outside mid day.
LunarTuner Says:
Oct 27, 2008 - n2theblue, would you mind explaining how the sun acts differently than artificial light? Unfortunately, outside mid-day would not replicated the same lighting scenario. If you haven't noticed, the mid-day sky on the moon is pitch black. I can't quite find that at mid-day on earth. Maybe you could do a response video demonstrating this idea you have, okay?

Nov 2, 2008 - PEOPLE: Consider a Hardcore Hoax Freak like Greenmagoos for a moment. What kind of wierdo spends his whole life, 24/7 on friggin internet chat threads trying to prove a fairy tale?? He has 50 idiotic clips on YT trying to support his delusion. Of course he monitors his clips 24/7 since the internet never sleeps. His Hoax clips are his world. His heart skips a beat with joy everytime he woos another tard into his Hoax Circlejerk. Life has dealt Magoo a shitty hand. But on the net, he is a Hero.

Nov 3, 2008 - Fantastic video! But please for the love of god; new background music next time!
LunarTuner Says:
Nov 4, 2008 - Thanks Gavin. You didn't like the music? Actually, it's not really music. I was making a lame, tongue-in-cheek knock on all the creepy CT video that is used out there. Yeah. Next time, maybe some jazz or some Sly and the Family Stone or somethin'.
LandingApollo Says:
Nov 4, 2008 - Hi Lunar! I should have posted under this account but was logged on to my other. Yeh! Very well produced, and good explanations and examples. I really liked it. Music ground my gears after a while and made me lose concentration haha. How about a bit of benny hill ;) Gavin
fanbutton Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - Very smooth, Exlax! But unlike the hoaxers, you didn't use a cluster of a light source. You know, multiple lights like you see on some highway construction projects where there is one stand for about a dozen lights. Chit was faked...plain and simple.
fanbutton Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - How the Sun acts differently then artificial light? Are you really that dumb? For starters, the Sun is so bright, it will blind your unprotected eyes, in space, in a heartbeat. The UV light from the Sun will smoke your dumb ass faster then you can spit. Really now, need I go on?
fanbutton Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - The layers of visors the astronauts have on are only millimeters apart, yet your bowl experiment has your bowls at several inches apart. The light in the visor should not have traveled to the other side of the visor being that the separation of visors are virtually hair line close. FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE!
fanbutton Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - Explain this Exlax: Why is there only a single light shining in the Gemini and shuttle astronauts visor, but multiple lights in the apollo moon astronauts visor? Clearly, the shuttle astronauts also have gold tinted visors, so why the difference?
LunarTuner Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - fanbutton, if you were paying attention, you'd understand that this video is made in response to greenmagoos' claim that 2 lights were used. It seems you guys have a disagreement!
LunarTuner Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - Several inches? Come on. At least give yourself a fighting chance to avoid embarrassment. And I suppose the sunglasses are also several inches apart? "hair line?" "millimeters?" Which is it? The LEVA has 3 layers. From the inner, pressurized "bowl" to the Protective Visor it's about 10 mm in the center & 15mm around the sides. The gap between the Protective Visor and the outer Solar Visor is about 6mm. Why don't you write the word "FAKE" a few more times to be more convincing.
LunarTuner Says:
Nov 11, 2008 - I'll tell you what, "Buttfan" I'll do that when you explain why the alleged 2-light rig was use for only 1 shot on the moon and explain how it never produced a 2nd shadow.
mdlima6 Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - UaU! Greenmagoos once more totally busted! Very nice video!
philomorphologian Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - I have seen some very bad efforts at debunking the 'two reflections' theory. This video is much more scientific in its approach. I see that you did not attempt to play with the set pieces or cover up inconsistent anomolies so, you got it right.
Hairysteed Says:
Dec 2, 2008 - The moon landings were actually filmed on a secret location on Mars

greenmagoos Says:
Oct 19, 2008 - No exps from any of the tv footage (blooming viditube effects-tough luck) and not a single Hassleblad moon photo either featuring two reflections from the one light source on the visor(s). You have given one exp from thousands of photo's and that wasn't even an Apollo helmet assembly. ED WHITE GEMINI EVA Not looking good for your theory or the Apollo 14 actor-nots.
