Aufführung (performance) in Rostock anlässlich einer Tournee durch Norddeutschland (Northern Germany). Motto: "Ein musikalisches Geschenk an Deutschland/A musical present to Germany" Die Aufnahme stammt von einer VHS-Videokassette. Bild und Ton (nur mono)entsprechen eigentlich nicht meinen Qualitätsansprüchen (are not conform with my quality demand). Dafür ist die Kassette für nur 10 € (very cheap !) zu erwerben, und zwar beim Medienverlag Turné (google: festival-turne) in Lübeck. Das Konzert hat eine Dauer von ca. 75 Minuten und enthält zahlreiche brillant vorgetragene geistliche Lieder, z.B. auch das "Ave Verum" von Mozart und einige Gregorianische Gesänge ! Angeboten werden von festival-turne auch zahlreiche aktuelle Aufnahmen mit bekannten Knabenchören (many actually performances with well-known boys´choirs). The VHS now is available online.... Ich selbst habe die ausdrückliche Erlaubnis, etwas aus der VHS zu veröffentlichen... (am explicitly allowed to post a little bit from that VHS). Weiterer Kommentar siehe comment von "maestrovoci" !

Nov 19, 2008 - This is a very pleasant boychoir that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1990 under the same director, the man pictured here, Torstein Grythe, who is now 82 years old and still conducting! They make a very unsophisticated choral sound. In this particular video sample, they sing with a clean harmony that is sweet and beguiling. I give them four stars (although I mistakenly hit the three star rating - sorry!)
