... There are numerous more paintings, drawings and sculptures in my studio as well as hundreds of my works that are held in various collections all over the world. What u see here and on my website is only a fraction of the madness! I am mostly an alla-prima painter. That means I paint my pictures all at once, all in one go, for better or worse. There is no such thing as a mistake in art! There are just strokes that you leave and strokes that you change. Everything is connected to the subconscious and happens for a reason (or if not a reason, a cause). Remember, having an imagination is what is most important. Better to let your imagination run wild than try and conform to someone else's perception of what is "real" or what is cool or whatever. Just do what you love and be yourself at all times. Picasso was right when he said "creation is all that matters". Everything else is just an illusion. I like all kinds of painting but I especially love plein-air painting and painting from a nude model when I can.. almost all of 'em are in oil. Oil painting is my favorite medium, but i like to sculpt, printmake and draw a lot too. I believe in freedom in art. I like to make stuff that is spontaneous and unbridled. No grids, no projectors, no visual aids; just pure painting! Why? Because great art is free from pretense, formulaic parameters, and preconception. It lives free like a beast in the wilderness. My goal is to remind people what real spontaneous and expressive painting is all about. To me, spontaneous creation in art is far more important than any process, clever trick, or trendy idea could ever be. Art is a physical process that lets your soul out.
